How Does a Hydrafacial Work?
Hydrafacials are especially effective for those battling clogged pores and signs of aging including wrinkles, marionette lines, fine lines, and crows’ feet. With a patented vortex system, the Hydrafacial system has the capacity to perform numerous facial cleansing and rejuvenating functions all in a single treatment. The procedure involves the following processes:
Step 1: Skin Cleansing
One of the major selling points of the Hydrafacial procedure is the deep cleansing component. The Hydrafacial technology comes with a Vortex cleansing piece that essentially sucks out dirt, oil, and other impurities from the surface of your skin, particularly in the forehead, T-Zone, and chin areas.
A combination of lactic acid and glucosamine HCI along with algae (which is rich in anti-oxidants) is used to cleanse, condition, and moisturize the skin for optimal results. Basically, this is like a less invasive and much more satisfying version of microdermabrasion.
Step 2: Deeper Exfoliation for Radiant Skin
After thoroughly cleansing the skin, the next step is to administer a deep exfoliating treatment. During this process, I will use two different types of tips depending on the condition of your skin. I will create a mixture of glycolic acid and salicylic acid to provide a deep skin exfoliation, which has been proven to effectively prevent acne breakouts.
Step 3: Extractions
The third step in the procedure involves using a stronger suction-like tip along with Beta-HD to carefully and thoroughly extract deep-ridden skin impurities including dirt, oil, makeup, blackheads, and sebum from your open pores. While this is happening, the device simultaneously releases a hydrating honey extract along with spiraea ulmaria flower extract, which soothes the skin and prevents pain or discomfort.
Step 4: Serum Infusions
The fourth and final step in the procedure involves applying serum infusions to the skin. Essentially, this is a mixture of peptides (copper, zinc, and magnesium), hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump up your skin, and antioxidants (green tea extracts and horse chestnut seed) to protect the skin from damages and impurities. This combination is appropriately called Antiox and it also contains arnica flower extract and red algae extract, which smoothen and brighten the skin respectively.
Skin Solution 3: Containing Vitamin A, Vitamin E, White Tea Extract and Hyaluronic Acid, the Antiox-6™ is designed for overall antioxdiant protection and deep hydration on most skin types.
